BEVEL GEAR CO., LTD

Gearbox co-design, development and manufacturing

Drawing on gear manufacturing experience since 1984 and our machining capabilities, Bevel Gear Co., Ltd helps customers develop and optimize custom gearboxes and gear sets. The goal is a design that supports practical manufacturing, assembly and consistent quality in series production.

From requirements to production readiness

  1. Requirements and design targets

Define input speed, output torque, ratio, duty cycle, target life, installation space and expected volume together, then agree on development scope and acceptance criteria.

  2. Co-design and manufacturability

Combine the customer's system design with our machining experience to review gear layout, materials, heat treatment, shaft and bearing fits, housing interfaces, tolerances and assembly needs. Balance performance, cost and manufacturing consistency.

  3. Prototype development and optimization

Agree on prototype arrangements and validation responsibilities. Use measurement, assembly and operating feedback to review targets such as tooth contact, backlash, noise or temperature rise and identify design or process changes.

  4. Production preparation and quality consistency

Agree on drawing revisions, critical dimensions, inspection items and assembly requirements. Plan pilot production and process feedback to establish repeatable production conditions and reduce variation between batches.

Can you help optimize an existing design or prototype?

We can start with drawings, a sample or an operating issue and discuss improvements to machining, fits and assembly. Design responsibilities, prototypes, validation tasks, timing and production conditions are agreed for each project.

What to share with us

Existing drawings or 3D files, application and load conditions, current issues, performance targets, estimated annual demand and development schedule. If detailed drawings are not ready, start with requirements and installation constraints.

Custom Gearbox & Gear SetTechnical guide and applications

Operating principles and characteristics

A custom gearbox integrates gears, shafts, bearings, housing and lubrication into one drive unit. Tooth ratios determine theoretical speed ratios, while output torque and temperature also depend on losses, duty cycle and cooling. Evaluate the complete system, not only an individual gear.

Applications and operating conditions

Custom gearboxes address space, shaft direction, ratio or output interfaces that standard reducers cannot meet. Conveying, packaging, mixing, feeding, linked-axis and automation mechanisms are potential projects. Bevel Gear Co., Ltd currently focuses on co-development for smart strength-training, smart-home products and precision tools; other uses require project review. Key inputs include motor interfaces, continuous and peak torque, noise, heat, sealing and production consistency.

Selection and drawing checklist

Start with input speed, continuous and peak torque, ratio, duty cycle and environment. Then define shaft interfaces, mounting holes, allowable backlash, sealing and lubrication. Project acceptance criteria may cover noise, temperature rise, leakage and operating backlash.

Technical question

Can gearboxes with the same ratio be interchanged?

Not necessarily. Input power, peak loads, bearing life, cooling, mounting interfaces and output-shaft forces may differ. Check the actual operating requirements.
